If you see a animal in need, do something about it. See a stray, try to find its home, see neglect or abuse report it to the local Animal Control Shelter. 

If you think no kill shelter are the BETTER than a city shelter that euthenizes you need to visit a no kill shelter. See a kitten that has sat alone like a vegetable in a cage for 6 months looking at nothing but stainless steel with no sun light, or the adult cat whos owner decided after 10 yrs the cat wastoo much work, the adult cats that quit eating and have organ failure due to the stress of being housed at the shelter and / or caged.   Go Cats Go is only trying to say there are pros and cons to both types of shelters. We take calls from people everyday that say "I am not taking it there they will just kill it".  Bottom Line, be realistic if you take responsibilty for your OWN pet and no one will have to do anything with it.
