This service is designed to make spaying / neutering affordable and help prevent over population so the cats can live healthier lives. Males fight, bite and spread disease when not neutered and females spend their whole lives pregnant AND nursing. A female cat can and will get pregnant her kittens are only 5-8 weeks old. Cats as young as 16 weeks can get pregnant.
Our Low Cost Spay Neuter Transport Service will transport your cat (or the neighborhood stray) from Fort Wayne to the Hamilton County Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic in Noblesville, IN.
You just drop you cat off here on fort wayne at a volunteers home between 5:45- 6:10 am.
We return the same day between 5-8pm. The fee is $35 for males and $40 for females, which covers the transportation and surgery. Surgeries are scheduled on the second Monday every month. Please see the Calendar of Events for specific surgery dates.
Confirmation of the appointment via phone is required prior to the drop off date and time. Delivery location is on the north side of Fort Wayne near Washington Center Road and Clinton Street . Cats are dropped off at a volunteers home and driven to the low cost clinic in Hamilton County
1. Cat needs to arrive in a SMALL SECURE cat carrier
2. Cat needs to have bedding (a towel , t-shirt or newspaper)
3. Drop off is 5:45am-6:10am
4. Payment needs to be in cash and is due at time of drop off.
Departure time from Fort Wayne to the Hamilton County Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic is at 6:15 am. Return time can be anywhere from 6-8pm the same day. The return time is unknown until 2 hours before hand. It depends on the volume of surgeries on that particular day. We will contact you approximately 1 hour before your cat is available to be picked up. You pick up here in Fort Wayne at the same location as drop off. 484-5292
