How old does my cat need to be?
10 weeks or a minimum of 3 pounds.

Is my cat required to have vaccines prior to surgery?
No. Vaccines are not required prior to surgery.

Can my cat be spayed if she is pregnant?
Yes. There is an additional medical charge  of  $20 additional time spent monitoring and spaying your cat.

What if my cat has fleas and/or ear mites?
Treatment is required.  Cost would be  $ 4.00 ( this is a 30 day treatment)

What if my cat becomes ill after surgery? Where do I go?
This is a one-time service.  If follow up medical attention is required, please contact your vet to make an appointment. ( there has been one necessary follow up with alocal vet of the 465 cats we have done) 9-3-10

Is a follow up appointment necessary to have the stitches removed?
No. Stitches will dissolve.

Will my cat receive pain medication?
Yes, one time only for the surgery. Additional pain medication is available for $3 per cat and is recommended for females over 6 months of age.

Where is the surgery done?
Hamilton County Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic.  www.lowcostclinic.org.
On occasion, cats may be taken to a local veterinarian.


How often is transport available?
Once a month and space is limited.  If you have a cat or kitten to spay or neuter within the next 1 or 2 months, please call to make a reservation today.  260-484-5292
